Customer Testimonials
Hear what our customers have to say about our motorbike hire and tours of Ireland and the other services we provide. If you would like to speak with any of these people let us know and we will put you in touch.Albert Greer, Colorado, USAI want to thank you again for the fabulous treatment by you and your family during my guided motorcycle. I can't say enough about the scenery of Ireland. I was knocked off my feet with the magnificent sights I saw! I must say that the Dingle Peninsula was my favourite for fantastic scenery and that Conor Pass was an absolute blast to motor up and over on the BMW! Speaking of the BMW 1200 GS, I enjoyed the motorcycle immensely! A BMW rider at home (R1100Rt), the GS is a powerful, responsive bike. I love the way it carved out the Irish roads! Accommodation along the way were superb! Top notch all the way. I will return to Ireland perhaps this year and if so I will be contacting Irish Motorcycle Adventures to book another tour. I am recommending you Stephen and Irish Motorcycle Adventures to all of my friends here in Colorado.
Ben Adams, Orlando, Florida, USA.At one point on this trip my wife said “if you lived in Ireland where would you go to see more beautiful scenery?” and I personally think there’s no better way to do it than on an Irish Motorcycle Adventures bike. The GS we rode was immaculate and trouble free. It was obvious to me that the folks at Irish Moto had planned our trip very carefully and completely. We’ve traveled all over the world and this trip was the most memorable. The roads are a treat and make for great riding, the Irish all went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, the food was excellent (when was the last time you saw someone making fresh whipped cream for your scone?) and we enjoyed every minute. The only downside of this trip is that I’ll never be able to drink Guinness in the states again ….. as it is heavenly in Ireland!!! But then we DO plan on doing another trip to Ireland.
Cullen Green, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.If you want the freedom of the road and the assurance of a dependable dealer, Irish Motorcycle Adventures should be your only call.
James Scott, Michigan, USA.The Grand Tour of Ireland was one of the greatest experience of my life. I had dreamed of going on a motorcycle tour some time in my life but felt it was out of my reach. I can only say I wish I would not have waited so long. The scenery in Ireland was incredible; the greens were truly emerald and the blues of the ocean were beyond compare. The leadership on the tour had a lot of background in motorcycling and with guiding these multi-person tours. I went on the trip as a single but connected with great new friends from other parts of the world and the U.S. immediately upon arrival. The milage each day seemed to fit perfectly into a scenic approach to motorcycling. I am watching for the listings of the tours for the new season with great anticipation.
Gary Savage, Surrey, UK.I had flexible dates for a visit to Ireland and contacted Irish Motorcycle Adventures. He picked me up from the airport, hired me a fabulous motorbike, gave me all the best routes and advice and I joined my chums touring the North coast. Excellent scenery, perfect weather and good company...what more could you want? Great service, and thanks for all your help. I'll be back this summer.
Bruce Clague, Cambridge, UK.A great experience from start to finish ! Nothing was a problem and from the airport pick-up to drop-off, Stephen's great, no fuss approach enabled us to relax and enjoy the trip. Stephen was more than happy to offer advice on potential routes and stop-overs, which really helped us get the most from our, only too brief, visit. Thanks and here's to next time !
Arizona West, Missouri, USA.What a grand trip! You and your wife were wonderfully accommodating. The tour suggestions were right up our alley and the bike was very well equipped. We liked the bike so well we bought an '04 when we got back to the States! Loved the GPS feature.
Mike Porteous, Perth UK.I would be delighted to recommend Irish Motorcycle Adventures - Stephen was more than happy to answer our questions/queries before the trip, the service was outstanding including airport pick up/drop off etc, the bikes were in perfect condition with fitted sat nav's - coastal/tourist routes all installed. We had a fantastic trip, Ireland is a bikers dream. Superb!
Lee Williams, Santa Cruz, California, USA.Great host, lots of good roads, ideas and a fun itinerary, the 11 day Around Ireland self guided tour is highly recommended.
David Edinger, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.Very accommodating, I got the dates wrong and there was no additional charge for rescheduling. He picked me up on time, very friendly. The bike was set up nice with a tank bag and GPS. I have been on many tours and this may be one of the best! When I ride Scotland, I will rent the bike, from Irish Motorcycle Adventures.
James Wesolowski, Washington, DC, USA.It was a pleasure to work with Stephen of IrishBike.com. He showed up on time, with the two well-maintained BMW GS's we had reserved, and he was helpful and supportive throughout. I can recommend Irish Motorcycle Adventures without reservation.
Oliver Neumann, Potsdam, Germany.Travelling Ireland on the back of a very well prepared BMW GS from Irish Motorcycle Adventures was an amazing experience. Stephen took much care to let this trip become just perfect. When our Garmin GPS got damaged during the trip when we were many miles from his base he stopped by the very next morning to replace it. We had just a great time, thanks Stephen.
Andrew Colburn, Vancouver, Washington, USA.Just a note to say I really appreciated the service you offer, and the bike was "top notch". I would, and will, let people know about the positive experience that I had using your service.
Christian and Stefan, ‘The Bavarians’, Munich, Germany. Those of you wanting to go on a biking trip with a rented bike in Ireland you are in good hands at Irish Motorcycle Adventures. Stephen makes you feel at home immediately, gets you acquainted with the bike - there is no better way to get started. That's the moment you realise your decision to rent your bike from this place has been right. Stephen's recommendations concerning nice routes and places to go are fantastic and best of all, most of it is at your fingertips with those routes already stored in the first class satellite navigation systems mounted on the bikes. With hindsight it was one of the coolest tours we have undertaken. We warmly recommend Irish Motorcycle Adventures service orientation and his bikes in absolutely pristine condition to any passionate biker. You literally can't do business in a better way and being the customer you really feel comfortable. Go for it guys, you will not regret it.
Dave McClintock, Salt Lake City, Utah USA.I really appreciated your trust when my associate was delayed in arriving in Dublin and you agreed to deliver both his and my hired motorcycles to me in his absence. You also did me quite a favour by driving both bikes around the hotel on crowded Dublin streets to the parking area. As I am used to driving on the right side of the road, this saved me some initial stress. You carefully explained the features of the hired BMW bikes and answered all my questions. Our week-long motorcycle tour of the northern region of the Emerald Isle was a wonderful, scenic and unforgettable experience. We had no problems with the hired bikes and we were confident, in any case, we could contact you for resolution of any issues. On our return to Dublin, you met us, as agreed, at our hotel. Upon collecting our hired bikes, you cheerfully wished us well. All in all, our experience with you and Irish Bike was exceptionally positive and smooth. I would recommend you and your business to anyone wishing to hire a motorcycle for touring in Ireland.
Tony Wright, National Affairs Editor, The Age , Canberra, Australia.I hired a BMW GS 1200 from irish Motorcycle Adventures to ride right around Ireland solo in July-August 2009. Stephen delivered it exactly when he said he would, and his wife had already made sure by email I had a list of hotels that suited my needs in Belfast. The bike was in perfect condition, the panniers had all the room I needed for all my gear and I was even offered a selection of seats to ensure I was comfortable and the bike suited my leg stretch. He knew what I wanted to do and set up the GPS with routes that showed me glorious places I probably wouldn't have been able to find myself. He also suggested a terrific and very remote pub where I stayed on my first leg of the journey. I rode more than 2000 kilometres, mostly around the coast, and the machine never missed a beat. And even if something had gone awry (unlikely on a bike like this), I knew all I had to do was call and help would be on the way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Irish Motorcycle Adventures, and I hope to come back and do it all again some day.
Roman and Albine Fragner, Roiten, Austria. Gery and Sissy Suva, Vienna, Austria.Ireland is a very nice place. And there are nice and reliable people like Stephen and Linzi. The booking via internet worked perfectly. The lodgings recommended by Linzi were great. Stephen picked us up at the hotel and we could receive perfectly prepared Bikes with lots of storage place for our luggage. Before starting our trip around Ireland Stephen gave us some Information about places of interest. Equipped with Garmin Zumo GPS we have had no problems, to find all of them. Our first intention was to visit Mr. Finn McCool, but he was not at home. Anyway, we were impressed with giants causeway. To ride a bike makes thirsty. Bushmills Distillery was able to help us. The next few days we passed many wonderful coastal-places like Donegal and Achill Island before we came to the imposing Cliffs of Moher. The next travel destination was Dingle, and we can say, the two days in Dingle have been great, not alone because Fungi, the Dingle Bay Dolphin expected us with a show. After driving around the Ring of Kerry our next target was Midleton. Time flies above all if driving around Ireland with a bike. And so we had after 11 days with unforgettable impressions and all kind of weather to bring back the bikes to Stephens home. After we had met our good friend Arthur Guinness in his storehouse and we had crafted The Perfect Pint of Guinness, our Job in Ireland was done and we could return to good old Austria, a wonderful place too, especially for bikers.
Billy Schuessler, Greenville, Texas, USA.The service was good, and the bike ran great. I would not hesitate to use your bikes again if I decide to visit Ireland on another one of my trips. I would recommend anyone that is thinking of doing a bike tour of Ireland contact Irish Motorcycle Adventures to ensure that they get good bikes and even better service.
Gregory Duval, Provo, Utah, USA.Thanks for all your help in making my trip to Ireland a great experience. Your assistance in booking the motorcycle, answering all my questions, delivering and picking up the motorcycle, and providing a motorcycle that ran perfectly added to a great week trip. I will definitely book again with you and recommend you to anyone I know.
Johny Morris, Cambridgeshire, UK.I would like to thank the guy’s at Irish Motorcycle Adventures for their great service and pleasant attitude. The coastal road round to Giants Causeway and beyond is a fantastic bikers road. Once again thanks for the great experience.
